Friends and family — certain that their jerk chicken and BBQ were always guaranteed hits — coined the original name Bankn’ on the Jerk and BBQ, a playful nod to the couple’s last name and their food’s reputation.
From day one, Chef Leanell’s bold flavor profiles and signature seasonings inspired the brand’s iconic tagline:
